Info needed, C&B revolver

Customer brought this by wanting info. It appears to be .32 or .36 cal. No markings of any kind. Beautiful wood and brass. Bore appears bad, firing pin missing.

Thanks for any help. It's reputed to be British in origin.

    It's what called a "Transitional Revolver". They were made in England and in the European Countries from about the 1830's to the 1850's. Since England & Belgium proved their guns, it most likely was made in one of the other countries of continental Europe.

    Unfortunately besides not having any markings, it appears to have been "cleaned"/refinished some time in the recent past. This is a turn off to most collectors. The prefer a original, crummy, dirty, patinaed finish then a old gun that has been extensively cleaned.
