mini 1 3/4in 12ga shells?

Check out midway flyer product item #162-922 and #738-518.
12ga 1 3/4 in shells. advertised "great for young shooters"? These are offered in #4 and #1 buckshot at 366fps or rifled slug at 381fps. great for young shooters? What would these be good for? Two legged varmints indoors? Cowboy action shootin? Anyone have any 1st hand experience with this stuff?

    Link would be helpful here.

    Never shot it, though I know that "mini" rounds shorter than 2-3/4" will often jam pump-action shotguns. I certainly wouldn't expect any semi-automatic to cycle these.

    366fps is pretty low velocity. . .we're talking BB pistol type velocity. . .and I don't think its a good idea to use that sort of ammo on anything living bigger than a rabbit.

    What is this stuff good for? NOT for defense.

    I think it could be useful for indoor training purposes, not necessarily just for kids, though that could be one application.

    It might work for cowboy-type shooting at close range, though I don't think you'll have enough energy to knock over steel targets and such.

    You sure it is FPS and not MPS (meters per sec)?

    Replace the carrier in your pump shotgun and you can get 9 of 'em in a regular size 6 shot mag....

    My Agulia ammo poster says
    1175fps for the 7 1/2 load
    1250fps for the slug load
    1200fps for the buckshot load
