type c springfield stock
I have in my posession an unissued type c springfield stock, no hand guard or hardware just the stock. this is not a duplicated stock, it is in fact a factory stock that was never used. it is unfinished,as issued to the armory's that produced these rifles. I know this is kind of a rare piece and I have no use for it and am thinking about selling it. does anyone have any idea what this stock might bring at auction, or a fair market value? I am not out to make a killing, but I dont want to give it away either.

Well, you say "Springfield", but replacement stocks were made by both Springfield Armory & Keystone. Look in the magazine cutoff notch on the left side for a letter "S" or "K".
Also, you really need to know if it is for an 03A3 or an 03A4. The difference is in the bolt notch on the right side. We may be able to tell if we have photos of the notch. You really need to be sure before you offer it for sale.
Depending upon exactly what you have & luck of the market, it could sell in the $200-500 range.

The CMP offers the whole stock set new, handguards and everthing for under $200. But it appears to be repro stuff with CMP cartouche, and not original as yours is. 0
