Savage or Stevens - Are they the same animal

I have a stevens 940 single shot 20 ga. with a broken trigger spring. GB has a trigger spring for a savage 940. Just wondering if it will fit mine. Thanks in advance.

  Savage owned Stevens from about 1920 on. As well as Springfield. And many, but not ALL models were made under both, or all 3 brand names.As well as a host of store brands. IMO you're pretty safe that the Savage part will work on your Stevens.
