sw 45 for a m1-a
I am considering a straight trade of my M1-a 26xxx serial # w/good amounts of GI parts in said rifle for a special weapons 45 - a hk 94 clone chambered in 45acp.
I have a HK 91 and a HK93 and have been in love with the roller locker system that allows them to eat ammo that has stopped my M1-a and my bushmaster xm-15 dead in thier tracks. I also have a norinco T33 and a cz 52 that I believe demonstrates the quality of a similiar system. Niethier of these "cheap" pistols have given me a single problem in the 15+ years I've owned them where my 1911's of various manufacturers/variations have had stovepipes, misfires ect.
The asking price from both owners are about the same, my only concern is the CLONE aspect. I owned a century arms CETME and thankfully was able to sell it at some point for what i bought it for, rather than selling it for scrap price.
any thoughts?

I'd do some reading up on "special weapons" 0 -
Well if you think your M1A is only worth $900 then it is a fair trade.........
I would not do that trade, but that is me. As stated I would do some more research on Special Weapons before deciding what to do.0 -
Special Weapons, IMHO, SUCK! 0 -
I have several SWs, Bobcats and Coharies I use as sear and suppressor hosts. Mine all work well.
With TB stopping production of the 9 series clones, who knows what is going to happen with the SW prices?
This would solely dependon what you want.
I personally would keep the M1A and buy the SW.

How many have you owned?
I have had to replace 2 extractors and a couple of springs.
Mine are in 9mm and 10mm and they run full auto like a stripedassed baboon.
The Bobcats and Coharies did not require anything except welding up the carriers to FA specs.
I am about as anti Todd Bailey as anyone, (banned from his site) but my guns work very well.
