AR receiver play
A while back I posted here asking about what to do about the play between the upper and lower on an AR varmit build. I followed the recommendation of getting a JP Enterprises tension pin. Installed it today (really simple) and am very satified. The rifle feels rock solid now. Lots of debate whether you should even worry about the play, but I feel much better about it now. I highly recommend this quick fix.

I'm setting up an AR with a free-float varmit barrel. I noticed I have a slight amount of play between the lower and upper at the rear pin. Will this effect accuracy, and if so, what is the best way to fix it?

I'll do that!0 -
I used the little red-rubber "L" shaped pieces that fit near the rear of the receiver as it closes... "Accu-wedge" I think they're called. Tightened stuff right up for about 3 bucks. 0 -
Either way IMO, it's a must. Glad to hear it was satisfactory and cost effective.
Now, you need to post in the near future about how good the groups got[:D]0
