care to check something for me?
need to know if there were any varience in finishes on the Stevens Favorite during the first 1000 serial range
have one needs total resto (and for ME for a change!)and have heard some were blued, some browned and even (supposedly) some shipped in the white
need definitive answer before i start any work

I have 4 Favorites, and there all blue, if thats any help. I just sort of aquired them over the years, and haven't done much research about them. Guess I should. Two of them came from an old local gun club, 22cal smooth bores, used for shooting "skeeter skeet" indoors. The nicest one I have is a 32 rimfire.
