Need Help Identifying Kuchenreuter breach load rif

Hi all-
Do we have an expert on board who can help me identify this rifle. It is marked Anton Kuchenreuter and cram or cham on the other side. It has an Octagon barrel and a rather unique peep sight. It appears to be a 22 caliber. Has large cheek piece and thumb rest built into the stock. I am not able to add photos at this time but I have added links to the photos.

    Anton Kuchenreuter was one of the many small gunmakers in Germany, pre WWII, maybe pre WWI.
    Still is, Anschutz lists Anton Kuchenreuter as a distributor of their rifles, in Cham, Bavaria and they trace the company back to 1640.

    The illustrated rifle is a scheutzen, meant exclusively for offhand target shooting with the elaborate peep sight. This looks like a nice enough example that the stock was carved to fit the owner.
    If it is a .22, I would think it a fairly recent gun. If older it would have been in a centerfire caliber for shooting at 200 metres, or the teeny little 4mm Zimmerstuzen used for indoor target shooting before match grade air rifles became available.

    I'd e-mail them. Maybe they have an English speaker in the store and maybe Cham was far enough off the beaten - or bombed - path that their records survive.

    German made rifles that have been manufactured since the early 1890's are by law required to have Proof Marks. Many times these P M's are able to roughly date the firearm. If you could take some quality close-up's of the P M's it might help give more information regarding DOM and other information regarding the rifle.
