The H&K 300 is awesome. I owed one, always functioned perfectly, great trigger pull and with a 15 round magazine, it was a blast on running jackrabbits! 0 -
Brno 611. No longer imported but some on the auctions. Great gun. Stay away from the Remington. 0 -
had a remington years ago & was OK except for plastic clip...then later i think they had a pot?? metal one ...if they have a good clip now it would be a good beater for field use 0 -
Do not buy this gun you are ASKING FOR TROUBLE !!! Take it from a dealer of 20 plus years.. You know why no one else chambers this round in a semi-auto ? They cant get it right ? 0 -
The 597 in .22WMR is an OK rifle if you pay attention to some important points: don't over tighten the set screws on the rods; be sure you have the metal magazines and only load them to 5-6 rounds instead of the advertised 8. Otherwise, keep it clean and well lubricated. The 597 in .17HMR is the problem version; stay away from it...period. Remington is trying to pull off a "recall-on-the-cheap" with the 597/.17HMR. 0 -
I have one. It's very accurate with CCI TNT ammo. As stated above it will not hold the advertized 8 rounds in the mag. They simply will not fit in there and it won't feed right if I put more than 5 in the mag. One in the pipe and 5 in the mag works fine. All ammo other than CCI had problems feeding in my gun no matter what I did. Other than the mag capacity issue I'm pleased with mine and don't think I'll ever get rid of it. 0 -
I bought one several years ago. It jammed with the original factory mag. Shortly after I purchased it they came out with an improved magazine and now it functions perfectly. Accuracy is ok but not stellar. My best groups come with Federal Premium 22 mag ammo, usually under 2" at 100 yards if I do my part. I use it for small game. I find it more effective than 22 LR. Oh yeah, I also installed a volquartson hammer/sear which brought the trigger pull down to an acceptable 3 lbs. The original trigger pull was around 8 lbs. 0 -
Might find a H&R 22 mag semi auto on auction side. I had several and all worked good!imo.. 0
