Early Detonics pocket-9
I am thinking of buying a old in the box, Detonics Pocket 9. it looks no less than around 97% + NRA rating.
looks inside and out with the old Seattle Washington stamp & 4 dig, sn#
looks as if it's sat in someone safe for many years, not one scrach on it, but what bothers me is the clips are as never been put in gun (&)have no trade mark what so ever??? , very tight and trigger pull in double action must be 15lbs??? but S.A. a small amout of creap but very nice, in the blue book I could not find it under Detonics, I had to go to another part of the blue book to find it, maybe Le juruis don't remmber, I also take it they made a few pocket 9s, guessing , I thing a light weight the one im looking at is all stainless, can any one tell me how these guns hold up over time with standared ammo and +p ammo, on the job I carried a MK-VI four 14 year with out a single jam or problems except in the 14th year I had the extractor break, if a few or as may of you pro's can tell me the problems they may have had or are they a well made as my old Detonics, the guy wants $314.00 including call in & tax etc. PLEASE GIVE Me as much feed back as you all can good or Bad . p.s. the clips really have me hung up with out a trade mark any were,also gun has ambidextrious, safeties, I am not trying to buy it to resale but like a good heavy pistol of higher quality it will be my back up if I buy it, + if it will go thru my own test of ever type of ammo I can feed in it? and if anyone can think of other thing I should try I am sure open to all in put. my tests, and is there any thing I should watch out for + should I get the brand name clips on ant thin else? or just let it go? and go for what I know? ( ALL HAVE A VERY BLESSED HOLIDAY, AND SURLY ENJOY YOU KIDS LOOKS AS HE OR SHE SHOOTS THERE FIRST FIREARM. MERRY CHRISTMAS. KIMBERJOE.

They didn't sell many of them when they were in production way back in the mid 80's. Because they were a unlocked breech, straight blowback pistol, ugly gun to shoot.
$314 is a fair BIL price for one in @ 97+%, with the original box. If you need a small 9mm Back Up, do yourself a favor and buy a G 26, forget about the Pocket 9. You will never lose any money buying the Detonics at that price though. You can always use it as a trader, for something you really want.0
