Ruger scope preference

I'm wanting to scope my Ruger #3 in 30 40 Krag.
I want a scope that fits the piece and am thinking about a compact.
I know it's subjective but I'd like your opinion and feedback.

  I've got a Redfield wide view 2-7 on mine same weight and size as a Leupold compact and available on ebay

  Burris Timberland has quite a few small sized scopes that I think look good. I use a few on my T/C rifles and they're the right size.
