What is a Thompson 45/70 super 16 pistol worth??
Hello and hopefully someone can help me here.
I have aquired a Thompson : Center Arms 45/70 GOVT. Super 16 pistol.
It has rifle sights on the barrel, rear sight being adjustable.
It has wooden fore grip and handle in a medium to dark wood.
It has a cougar on a mountain etched into the metal mechanical part of the gun.
The gun appears to be older, has some rust and some of the blueing is lightening up.
Does anyone have any idea of about what this gun is worth?
Just looking for a ball park figure, I know it is hard to give a price on something sight unseen, but if someone can give me some kind of idea on whether it is worth $100 or $1000 would be great.

I have several Contenders and Encores and barrels.Yours should be worth $300 to $400. 0 -
I'd agree with the above post and say that about $350.00 is right. The T/C Contender with the cougar on the side is the older model and has a nicely adjustable tigger and overtravel screw. 0 -
Private deal,about 350.00,in a gun shop,closer to 450.00 depending on how badly rusted.the barrels are pretty popular. 0
