A friend just emailed me about one of these sn#11872 in 38-55. I hope to get pics later. She was told it could be worth $1000 to $1500. It is going to be for sale in the near future. I know I need pics for an appraisal but is the above in the ballpark?

  Yes, and it could very easily be worth a whole lot more than $1500[:0].
