Flat bottom base for scope mount??

I have a Black powder rifle that I want to put a scope on. It has the octagon barrel. Is there a base made for Weaver style or double dove tail rings that is flat on the bottom so I can attach it to the flat top of the barrel.

All the bases I have laying around have a curve of some nature to them to fit the rounded contour of the barrel.

Any help is appreciated.

    The rear Weaver base for the old style Savage 110 is flat on the bottom. Don't know if it will fit your requirements.

    How about a piece of 1913 rail like for adding to handguards?

    Weaver base for Marlin 336 has a flat bottom about 1/2" +/-.

    Brownells sells a couple of different types of basic flat bottom rails marked as 'Gunsmith Blanks'.

    If I am not mistaken, T/C sold some scope mounts for their octagon barreled side locks. You might want to try looking there too, and in the auction side.
