Remington 581 bolt removal
Just like the title says, how do I remove the bolt on a 581? The rifle was my father's, now it's mine, and I know it hasn't had a good deep cleaning in the 40 years he had it.

Never mind, I figured it out.
For you future searchers, push all the way forward on the safety past "Fire", hold it there and then pull the bolt to the rear and it'll slide right out.0 -
And if you go to the Remington Website, under customer Service, ask nice, they will send you an owner's manual. They have sent me manuals for a 550-1, and a Speedmaster 552. 0 -

I already love the rifle, it was the first gun I ever shot back when I was 6 years old. It's a left hand bolt 581 by the way. 0
