Putting a bipod on a savege 111
I've been wanting a savage bolt action for a while now and I'm thinking of picking up a savage 111fcns, probably in 30-06. Found where I could have the 30-06 in my hands for $500 NIB. Would it be difficult to put a bipod on it? It wouldn't hurt the accustock in any way would it? I feel like an idiot buy I don't have any experience in installing a bipod.

I put a bipod on my Savage 116, very easy to do. It mounts to the sling swivel base, and you can still use a sling too. 0 -
Get the Harris bipod that swivels and height that accommodate your style of shooting conditions. It's very easy to install and will not hurt the stock.
I have the HB25CS on an older Savage 111F in .300 WM since 1992.

flyingtorpedo,
If you've never done something before it's just inexperience and one try at putting a bipod on a rifle will qualify you as an expert.
