I have a Firearms International Model D .380 CPA. I am looking for extra clips an amd having trouble find ones that work. I had one site tell me all new clips need to be taken to a gunsmith for fine tuning. Can some one tell me if this is true?

    I have a beretta gardon vp made in 1956 it is similar to the beretta silver gryfalcon 22 rifle which had a 20 round clip and I lost it some how and would like to buy another one if you could help me find one. I have gone to gun shows and no luck I just ordered a 10 round clip for the gryfalcon and hoping it will fit, but even if it does I would like to find another 20 round clip. Hope you can find one or send me in the right direction.

    Sure don't sound like thats the truth from what I know..
    Sometimes they may need to be tweaked a bit around the ear area but usually the new ones work just fine if they came from a reliable maker...

    I have never had to take a new magazine to a gunsmith for tweeking, they work just fine. Some after market magazines (and your pistol uses magazines not clips) are not well made and do not work without some adjustment, but if you are using new ones from the manufacturer, they should be fine.

    Thanks for the magazine correction. These are after market magazines. The manufacturer is out of business.

    Sorry about the after market mags, that can complicate things. Often the the problem lies with the lips of the mag, so if you can cycle the action slowly while watching what is happening with the cartridge, you can often see the sticky spot and make a little adjustment to the mag. Often the lips need to be opened just a touch.
