760 .223 magazines

I saw a Remington 760 .223 caliber pump actin rifle the other day at a pawn shop. It was in good shape but was missing the magazine. I have looked on the auction side and saw several magazines for different calibers but nothing in .223.

My question is, "Is there any other caliber magazine that is compatible with the .223 cartridge?"

Just wondering. I think I can get it for a steal since the mag. is missing but I don't want it if I can't find one.

    Winston...they are out there. I have seen them on the action side. I have seen them on ebay too. Not sure if ebay allows them any more with their total anti gun mindset. They are not really cheap, about 100 bucks. Finally to answer your question, no there is nothing else that will work...Remington make the 760 in 222 Remington too but I don't think the block in the back is the same. Great rifle, depending on condition is worth $1000 or more.

    The .223 is hard to find if you can get the rifle for under a 1000 it still is a steal see some mags on the auction side once in awhile

    Really, why so expensive? Are they rare? I think this one is priced under $400 and could probably get it for less what with the mag. missing. It is in good shape except for the missing mag.

    They are few and far between. I have one and have been offered $1400 for it and I turned him down.

    For 400.00 I would jump on itI have yet seen one on the auction side go for less then a 1000.00 and some of them were pretty beat up. I had to trade two of mine plus some cash to get my 223

    Winston, if you don't buy it for $400, I certainly will; give me the shop's number and I will buy it.

    If I saw a .223 760 for $400.00 I'd be on it like a junkyard dog on a three legged cat . The mags are a bit hard to find , but they're out there . Hell of a find ! Some times I'm just amazed how inept some people in the gun business are , how can you sell a gun not knowing what it's value is ???
