HA! You sound like me. Just bought one. Haven't even seen it. Thank goodness I have been reloading forever. Like to have killed me to buy a couple of boxes of ammo for it.

I'm here looking for anything on it too. Pass it on to me as well. I just purchased one of the new models released in January.

You know what - I still haven't shot the damn thing! Anyway, the mag is a bit wobbly and the trigger is easy to adjust - no loctite just goop over the screw heads. Has a Sako type extractor and the case head takes up nearly all the bolt face. Looks pretty much the same as my Remington 700 PPS in 7 Rem Mag.

One thing. The receiver is drilled & tapped for 8-40 screws not the usual 6-36. Which is really not much of an issue, 8-40 screws are easy to come by. Problem is, they're wider than the 6-36 and won't fit through the holes in your mount/base. Fortunately the store I bought from is owned by a gunsmith, when I picked up the rifle he did a quick pass through the base screw holes with a drill, opened them up just a touch and works fine.

BTW, Grafs carries Privi Partizan unprimed brass for the 338 LM - $130.00 per 100. I haven't used it, they're out of stock, but might be worth a try.

    Just as an FYI:

The industry standard for scope mounts is the 6-48 screw. No-fail tactical and some of the heavy recoiling magnum rifles use the 8-40 screws. Many shooters opt to have their rifles drilled and tapped for the larger 8-40 screws.

    Best.
