S&W Model 15-4 New-in-box Never-fired
I'm trying to figure out the value of this 15-4. The box has all the paperwork (warranty and safety stuff), the gun-cleaning rods still in the plastic, the wrapping paper and some little black plastic plug of some type. Serial number is AHP 9239. Blue finish. Thanks in advance.

%500 sounds about right to me. S&W made a lot of Model 15 revolvers back in the day, but not too many survive NIB. FYI your gun was made in 1985. 0 -
I agree with the price, and maybe a little more, but it takes a collector, instead of the average shooter to buy one. Most of the shooters that just want something to shoot won't buy it if it isn't a 357 magnum. I came up with a nice Model 14 one time, waiting through a line of several people that wouldn't buy it because the price was right, just not the caliber. 0 -
A lot of folks have come to the realization that Colt & S&W revolvers made in the 1950's - 1980's are fine guns that will never be made again, & they are bringing good prices now.
Top prices go for minty examples, especially in the original box. Unusual variations (& barrel lengths) are especially sought after.
