I have shot slugs through my 835 with modified screw in choke. I know that there are rifled screw in chokes for shooting sabot slugs. Otherwise use the rifled slugs for non rifled barrels or chokes.

My wife has a remington 870 20 ga. It is a smooth bore with screw in chokes. She uses it for deer hunting and shoots the high velocity rifled slugs out of it using the imp. choke tube. Works very well for her.

    And what Gashauler said.

YOU AN SHOOT 'FOSTER' TYPE SLUGS IN ANY SHOTGUN/ANY CHOKE. THEY USUALY WORK BEST IN I.C. CHOKES THOUGH.

I have seen them shot from many different choke guns but the manual on my Remingtom 11-87 (one of the first ones out in the 90's all stainless with black parkerizing finish) sugest using the cyl. choke on slugs or buck shot. But it onle came with f, m, ic and cyl. Just reading from my owners manual.
