    No thats not it, thanks anyway. Im trying to get pics on soon. We just moved and got broke into twice, so dealing with insurance and stuff so it could take a minute. Will try to ge pics today. Curious about this gun. It has the same markings as a mauser and bolt looks close but cant find another one like it.

    I have a simular rifle less the stock.Mine also has the same proof marks.No makers name or serial number except the number 5 on the left side of the barrel.Mine is marked 6MM.I have no way to post pictures here,but can email some if someone wants to see them.

    Yes please email pics. In the blue book it says the crown over u is a german inspectors mark, I cant find the crown over b though. Or the weird l and cursive g. Any info would help!

    Crown over B means the weapon was proof tested in the finished state and must also have the crown over U. The crown over U is just the final proof. Those marks were last used in 1939.
