S&W model 61 barrel removal
On the 61 did S&W supply a tool for removing the barrel and if not want would be the right tool to use.

Not sure there was a tool that came with it to remove. Do you have the instructions, check to see what they say. Also are you sure it is for owner removal, may be something for a gunsmith. I have seen a tool for removing that kind of threaded sleeve. You could probably make one by modifying a screwdriver of appropriate width. Make sure the blade is the right thickness too. 0 -
