Good deal on these guns?
Bought 4 guns the other day. I feel like I got a great deal, but I would like to get some feedback from some real gun gurus out there.
1. Winchester Model 88 lever action w/6X scope, 243 Cal, exc condition, ser# 211822A
2. Winchester Model 70 Featherweight, 6.5x55, 6x redfield scope, like new condition, ser# G1998984 (new haven)
3. Winchester Model 70 Ultimate Classic from custom shop, 25-06, brand new in custom case, only factory test fired, ser# G136595
4. Sako Mannlicher A5 w/simmons aetect scope, 25-06, NIB-never fired, ser# 811579.
Paid $1700 cash for all 4. Any idea how much the bunch is worth? Like I said, given the new condition of 2 maybe 3 of them, I feel like I did pretty good.

Stingray725,
Welcome to the forum.
You didn't get a deal, you got a STEAL! Any two rifles in that group might add up to nearly the $1700 you paid. The 'custom' Win 70 may have actually had close to that paid for it. It or the Sako might each be worth $1K. In reality if someone needed the cash right quick then that's what they are worth. Although, the scope on the Sako is junk.
My best guess as to what they are worth is around $3K0 -
Thanks for the reinforcement. Thought it was a pretty sweet deal. The scope and rings that came with the Sako are not mounted. They were just thrown in to "sweeten the deal" (as if it needed sweetening). I actually had to pull the plastic off of the Sako to get a look at it. The plan is to keep the Ultimate Classic and the Sako in new condition. However, I must admit that I am dying to fire a couple through each of them. 0 -
"keep the Ultimate Classic and the Sako in new condition.".............come on, that's like getting a 'trophy' wife and keeping her a virgin[xx(] 0 -

I agree with Mike above.
Guns are made to be shot, not looked at.
Beautiful women are made for......, not to be looked at.0 -
You got about 2 1/2 guns on that list for free. 0 -
You owe whoever you bought those from a good dinner every month for about 3 years 0 -
Once again, jealousy rears its ugly head. Wonder if he has a trophy wife I could get a good deal on
I am really looking for a WBY Mark V in 257 or 270 WBY. What are my odds on making a trade straight up for one of my guns? Any clues?0 -

I wouldn't press my luck with either the wife or the Weatherby....for that matter, there are much better rifles out there, and girlfriends are better than wives...sometimes....hehehehehe
