H & R Model 660
On the H & R model 660 revolver, there is a tube that goes under the barrell. It has a rod and spring in it. How do I remove the rod and spring so I can screw the tube back onto the barrel? Please help if you know.

there should be two screws that hold the ejector tube, one at the front and one at the rear. the front screw hold the ejector rod inself in place as where as holding the the tube to the barrel. the rear screw is small enough that it only hold the screw by the back portion. removing the front scres shold allow you to remove the the ejector, spring and its bushing or as the parts list call it the ejector stop out the front of the tube.

My question is I've got the tube off, how do I get the rod out since it don't go back far enough to screw the tube back on. The rod is in the way of the screw. Does this rod thread out of the tube?quote:Originally posted by b.goforth

if the ejector rod does not come out by itself thru the front it may need some help from you. the ejector rod, spring and stop come out thru the top of the tube. if the ejector tube is off the gun completely i don't know what is holding everything together.

Have you removed the finger grip piece from the ejector plunger? 0
