barrel twist
Picked up a single shot Kennedy custom High Wall in 25-06 cal with a 1"dia crowned 26"L barrel with a 1:12 TWIST. What weight bullet will give me .500 moa at 200yds?--300yds?

i have a 223 rifle (semi-auto) with a barrel twist of 1-7 twist. What bullet weight is the "best" for it? Looking to reload for it it will only be for target shooting. 0 -
Start a tight patch on a swivel handle cleaning rod. Put a mark or a little tape "flag" on the rod. Make a mark aligned with something on the gun to start. Advance the patch until the flag makes one complete revolution. Make another mark. Pull the rod and measure the distance between the two marks. That is your rifling twist pitch, one turn in X inches.
If for a pistol, you will have to go by a half or quarter turn. But twist is seldom an issue in pistol calibers anyhow.0
