S&W auto shotguns any good?

I am looking for a new shotgun and noticed that S&W has a fine looking 1012 autoloader. Do you know nanthing about them? problems? Good things? Are they fairly lightweight? I have only seen them in mags so I have no firsthand knowledge of them.
