Indentification of WWII pistol

It is a small hand size pistol with glass grips where they would normally be wood or plastic. On the side it has this CAL 7.65 MANN-WERKE AG SUHL I have the clip for it as well as a leather holster my grandfather took it from a German soldier I also have the papers issued to him for m the US military when he brought it back. Is something like this rare? What is it worth ball park something is only worth what someone else would pay for it. I have fired the gun one time only and it worked. I have pics if need to help with identifying the gun.

    topher5999, Welcome to the forum. This forum is a good source of information and an excellent source of opinions. Let me be the first to suggest that posting pictures will be necessary to get much help here. Closeups showing detail of markings, including proof marks, and an overall shot of the pistol are needed.

    The Mann .32 is a very uncommon pistol. To bad you don't have the original grips. It was made by Fritz Mann in Suhl Germany between the mid and late 20's.

    Being you have what are called by collectors the "Bring Back Papers", that were given to your Grandfather, is a plus for co;llectors value.

    My WAG if the pistol is factory original, ( other then the grips ), and in at least very good condition. It would be in be in the $300 to $500 range to a collector.

    You have a Fritz Mann 7.65 cal pistol worth about $300 by itself but with holster and capture papers more.
    The correct grips should be plastic having the name cast in.
    Absence of correct grips may decrease value.
    Did your grandfather make up the plexiglas grips or did the German?

    As far as I know that is how it came over and I think the grips are glass as far as I can tell.

    Are the grips clear ? they maybe made out of the plexiglass from a plane.I have a Colt 1911 with plexiglass grips with a picture of the guys girlfriend in them. No she was not cute. ( he may have turned the gun on himself after looking at her )

    Ok just seen the pictures,looks like plexiglass from the windshield of a airplane.

    To me they do not look like Plexiglas but they very well may be. One side is chipped and it sure does feel like normal glass to me.

    It is beveled along the edges like it was made for the gun, I have no clue that is why I am asking you guys.

    Unfortunately the pistol would grade out as being in Good condition at very best, due to the patina and pitting. This would have a negative affect on collectors value, along with the replacement grips. $150 - $300 because of this, the Bring Back Papers would be the only plus that could possibly help value.
