With the action out of the stock, get some spray cleaner and wash the gunk out. Any lube build up will give you the problem.

You might have to releive the wood on the stock. I have had to do a couple of mine that way.

The "slider" should actuate the lever and the lever is powered by the spring - I'm pretty sure I see the spring in the photo. I'd do a full cleaning of the area and lube it. That should work. If the spring has gotten lazy it's about a $3.00 part. A simple punch to drift out the pin (left to right) a bit allows you to remove the lever, replace the spring.

Also, make certain you've not bent the top of the slider where it meets the lever. If you have it can be rebent, fairly malleable metal.

    Clean first, worry second. [;)]

Bolt release is dragging on the stock. Releive a little amount of wood around the bolt release.

Someone made the mistake of spraying it with WD 40 and it has turned to paste/glue.
