Brown Bess inscription

As I can't get back on the thread (are posts to threads limited on this site?)I just thought I'd provide an update on my Brown Bess for those who previously joined in the tread.
It appears that the R NY Fuzileers inscription may well refer to
the Royal New York Regiment (Royal New Yorkers) with the Fuzileers element nostalgically and unofficially relating to an earlier regiment.
Quote" it (the Regiment) was reduced at the end of the Revolutionary war 1784-4 and was not numbered in either the British Army nor Provincial Corps"
The Regiment was lead by Sir John Johnson. (info references - Royal Armories, Leeds, UK)
Certainly the dates and pattern of this Bess fit the time frame.
