Winchester 8 Shot Barrel Wanted

I had asked this question in the general forum and it was suggested that I post it in "ask the Experts".

I have a Winchester Model 1300 Defender Pump shotgun with the extended mag I beleive it holds 8 shells. Do any of you experts know if there is a 26 or 28" shotgun Barrel or even a slug Barrel made for this gun. It was shipped with the 18" defense Barrel, and I would like to use it for hunting but the extended shell capacity mag has limited me from finding a hunting barrel, everything that I have seen so far is made for the standard 5 shot mag. Any idea who may sell these, preferably at a decent price.

    some of them were shipped with a spare 28" hunting barrel as a combo package so they are out there

    Oh Chit,

    There is an adapter that you can purchase that allows the use of sporting barrels on your Police model 1300. It compensates for the different placement of the magazine ring on the riot type barrels and sporting barrels. You will be able to use any sporting barrel with this adapter. I think I got mine directly from Winchester a few years ago. I think this is the most cost efficient and versatile way to go.

    Thanks for the info on the adapter, does anyone know what this is or how it mounts. I'm guessing that it's a over sized sleave that slides down over the 18" magazine and pushes against the shorter barrel mounting ring and holds it in place when the magazine knull Cap Nut is tightened down again. If so sounds like that may be an option if I can't loacte the correct Barrel. Who sells these since Winchester is closed [?]
    I'd perfer to locate a correct 26 or 28" Barrel for the 8 shot magazine. But the adapter is a great option.
