WHEN LOADING THE 45 COLT WITH HEAVY HUNTING LOADS (EX:
24GR. OF H110 W/265 GR.LEAD BULLET , DO GAS CHECKS NEED TO BE USED?
THIS LOAD IS FOR THE RUGER BLACKHAWK.

  Is it accurate to say that using a gas checked lead bullet will permit its use in a rifle without leading the barrel? I presume there are limits, but would a 174 grain .308 gas checked lead bullet be OK up to 2,100 fps?

  You can buy 410" gas check cast bullets from Oregon Trail, I shoot thier 215gr gas check bullets in my model 57 Smith. They are great people, email them, or call them, they sell a great product. www.LazerCast.com
