I had some Russian NV Gen 1 and up to 200 yards I would have no problem telling 2 people apart...0 -
Ok, as usual i did my home work, visiting various sports shops & trying.. although gen 1+ is a reasonable quality dedicated night scope, for the $$$. With extra infa red, all the gen 1+ scopes can be well usable, its sorting the good from the bad!
ATN 350- a great looker, but absolute pants, clarity was useless ......
Vomz 4.6 mag good with ir , but heavy almost @ 3lb.
Dipol 141M goooood with extra iR very good @ 2lb
Nvrs reasonable for close range vermin, low recoil upto 22H with moderator.
Nvrs-f superb image to 50+yds with extra ir to 100yds, good optics & ret, recoil 223, with mod.
All viewing bunny target to fox @50yds total black.
Recognition depends on size of target.
NEVER allow light down the tube, wether artificial or natural day light , it bergers the scope..
Thats another day research [:)]0
