can you please help me get the date of this gun:

  the iver johnson's arms & cycle works "22 SUPERSHOT" was made between 1928 and 1941 as apposed to the 22 Supershot Sealed Eight which was introduded in 1932. 22 SUPERSHOT Serial number K 14188 (the K will be found under the grips) was manufactured in 1931, there were 4,900 manufactured that year. appears to have been only a total of 22,650 manufactured between 1928 and 1941. to the best of my knowledge this model was not put back in production after WWII.

  Features HAMMER the HAMMER ACTION, MODEL 70 (chambered for 7 rounds), MODEL 90 (chambered for 9 rounds); Built on the Safety Automatic Hammer Third Model large frame. Blue finish, 6 inch barrel length, one piece checkered wood grips; .22 rimfire caliber; most specifications same as Safety Automatic Hammer revolver large frame; Weight 24 ounces; Overall length 10 _ inches. Barrel marked on left side "22 SUPERSHOT". Main serial number location on left side of grip frame grips must be removed to see.
