Remington 788 clip

Any body know where I can get a 223 clip for a 788 remington?
Will one of the other caliber clip work @ 222 or 22-250

    The 22.250, 243 & 7-08 use the same I believe but a 222 won't work in that size. I think a 222 and 223 would be the same mag. The less expensive ones are aftermarket I think, I bought a 7-08 for mine and it works fine.

    I know the 223 and 22-250 are not interchangeable. As for the 222 Rem and the 223 Rem...check with gunpart.com and see if they are the same parts number, if they are they would interchange. How do you like your Rem 788 in 223 Rem, I really like mine. Really accurate with the 40 gr V-Max and 28 grains of 748.

    I had a 7mm08 and purchased a 308 as an extra since. Mags were identical except for the markings. I finally found another 7mm08 mag. They fit nicely in a 30 carbine magazine pouch. The 308,7mm08,and 243 all use the same parent case and the 22-250 is almost identical in dimensions. A 7mm08 mag will not begin to hold a .223 round

    The gun is my brothers I do not know how it did it but he lost his one and only mag The gun is very accurate I been trying to talk him into selling it to me How much would a fair price be?

    I just bought one "NIB" - still had the $129.00 price sticker on it from Big 5 - for $350.00. Mine is a 7-08 carbine which I understand is a bit harder to find than most. I think I got a good price and I'd think that $300.00 would be a good "in the family" price for any 788 in good shape.

    Agree a $300 price would be fair. You can also looked in completed auctions to see what they have sold for in the recent past. Probably a little more than $300.

    Check out the auction side , there are usually some 788 clips there . They usually run around $50 . Those 788s are shooters !!
