woodsman and colt 1917
I have actually inherited 2 pistols
1)a woodsman 22 lr 1935 with box/instructions that I want to keep
but any info would be nice it is about 98% not fired for the last 40 or so years and lightly used before that- seems like a keeper
but
2) also a 1917 colt 45 that was my uncle the CB petty officer's in WW2- it is in excellent condition about 95% blue and very clean and has the original holster, 1942 on back, oval on front, in like new shape - a hand made lanyard at the end of the holster - the gun was made about 1919 according to the list but he used it in WW2, certainly not fired since before 1950
it also has clear grips that my uncle told me were made from the plexiglass of beat up planes, that the CB's manufactured in their spare time on the so pac islands - is that good or bad (rare?) for it's value- and what might that VALUE BE?
