Daisy 22
My first rifle was a daisy 22. I have never seen 1 on here, but would like to have 1 again. The firing pin wore out om mine and i sold it. It was manufactured around 1985 and from what I understand, was only in production for 2 yearsor so. It was a youth model(short)single shot bolt action synthetic stock 22. It was very light weight and cost $40 new at Kmart. Is this gun now rare or? I shot thousands through that thing and would love to have another if it is obtainable and reasonable pricewise. Anybody know anything about these? Have pics? Thanks

I bought one for my sons 1rst rifle except it was the "rotary" mag. As far as I know they made the single and mag fed ones like the auction above that Spider has posted for you only a few years. A Daisy collector would need one but not valuable,,,imo...75-100 in that area..your mileage may vary...nambu 0 -

I had two of those, a long time ago, for my kids to shoot. They didn't work reliably. I contacted Daisy for a solution, maybe a factory repair, maybe sell me a firing pin spring. Here is what they did and what they told me:
Daisy ran up this particular run of rifles for Wal-Mart, to hit a particular price point. The quality control was away below that of the other Daisy rifles, the ones with brown stocks.
Daisy did not offer parts or repair for this rifle, but they were embarrassed enough about having made it, that they offered to buy back any problematic rifle from any owner, at the last published retail price, which was, I believe, around $40.
I sent the rifles to Daisy, and they sent a check.
(Way to "man up," Daisy! I wish Remington would take responsibility for some of the trash they have built in recent years!)
Years later, I saw that Jennings Firearms was making this same rifle under its brand name as the Jennings Junior. I bought one from a wholesaler to see what it was. It was just as big a piece of crap as the Daisy. I sold it, at my cost, to a customer who accepted the piece with no warranty, and knowing that it would probably fail early on, with no factory support for parts or service.
I haven't seen one, but I think this same rifle was made and marketed by Iver Johnson before Daisy made it.0
