Replacement Stock

Would it be possible to replace the stock on my Remington 700 BDL with a mannlicher (full length) stock? Similar to the model 7. Could this be done?

    Looking to buy the stock that is made by Bell and Carson for the Remington 700 XCR Tactical Long Range. The Bell and Carson website shows one with adjustable cheek plate and other mods. I am looking to buy the stock that comes from factory. Want it to be the Olive Drab color and in .300 Win Mag.

    Welcome to the forum...I don't think stocks come caliber specific. All it needs to be is the kind of stock you are looking for, for a Remington 700 magnum action. Good luck...I assume you have checked the auction side of the forum?

    I guess I don't understand your question. What is the problem order it from Bell & Carlson or if you can't then get your local gunsmith to order it for you. Remember these are generally not drop in ready to shoot stocks. Some fitting and bedding will be needed to get good results. You seem to know what you want so what info are you looking for us to provide???

    Welcome to the Gunbroker Forums!

    Bell and Carlson makes a similar stock for the general public but it's limited to short action only right now. They are apparently protecting the Remington version for the time being by not releasing it to the public.

    An alternative would be to contact Remington to see if they will sell you a replacement stock for the XCR Tactical rifle in the Long Action length. They do sell replacement stocks occasionally.

    Other than that, watch the GB Auctions for take-off stocks or some sniper/tactical bulletin boards for take-offs. I checked Stocky's Stocks and they don't list the long action version.
