New guy with questions P99 vs. Babye Eagle *PICS*

I have been scavanging the forums and still cannot get a grip on what I should do, let me explain...

I currently have a Walther P99 .40 in desert Sand. It is used for home defense (along with the mossberg 12ga.). Recently a friend of my father in law offered me a baby eagle .40. I have it in my possesion to check it out. I guess I should also note I am far from a gun expert so any info would be a huge help (Thanks in advance). I have fallen in love with the baby eagle, the fit in my hand is superb. However with Christmas here my funds are extremely tight. He wants $450 for the baby eagle, it has never been shot. The manufacture date is march of 08 and it was made in Isreal, not the newer american made versions. I am contemplating selling my P99 for the Baby Eagle but need to know what realistic pricing should be on both? I cant even find another P99 that is the same color as mine. All the ones I have found are closer to green???

Is his $450 asking price fair? I have literally taken my P99 to the range once, ran about 20 rounds through it (extremely like new). What should I expect to get for my P99?

Also, any info on differences between the two would be stellar, again im somewhat of a noobie to guns. Anyhting you feel I should know about either guns is what im really looking for.

    baby eagle is a great gun , i have had the 40 and 45acp, loved them but loved the new XD line better,

    only bad thing i found with the B.E is if you use the slide release too much the slide will stop staying back on the last round do to the little indention / cut out on the mag will were out, then the slide will not stay open.

    I've liked the Baby Eagle since it was introduced.

    Don't care for plastic firearms.

    I've shot both extensively, though the steel version of the Jericho pistol ("Baby eagle"), not the polymer version.

    For concealment, the P99 is a better choice, just because its smaller and a lot lighter.

    The Walther MIGHT have the advantage of the anti-stress trigger, if your model has it and you like to use it. (Personally, I could take it or leave it). The adjustable grip MIGHT be a nice feature if you find a configuration that you like.

    As a DEFENSE gun, the all steel Jericho will have less recoil due to more weight, and might be a little easier to shoot accurately due to the longer sight radius.

    All the rest is personal preference. Both guns are sturdy and reliable. Both have similar traditional double-actions with decocker, and both double-actions are pretty good.

    Whichever gun YOU like better is the better gun.

    As to cost, I haven't priced the Walthers, but I'd imagine they cost more than the Jericho guns.

    I use the B.E for home defense. Way to big to carry. For that I use my TAC Four. Yes a 45 for CC---still easier than the B.E.
