The Leupold is the better of the scopes and has a better warranty. 0 -

Even though my first scope was a Weaver and I've still got several, I've got to make it four straight - Leupold.

Leupold I had a old Weaver 3x9x40 on my first AR15 back in 1978 no matter what I did I could not make that gun/scope combo work no matter what I did. I tried different mounts, shims, modification to said mounts different rings nothing worked. Mine you there were not a lot of options for mounting scopes to AR's back then. I also still have an old Weaver P2S pistol scope that I had mounted on a Dan Wesson 44mag. It still works how ever there is something floating around in it and the inside of the scope looks bead blasted. No more dicking around GET THE Leupold. 0 -
The Grand Slam is good but I'd go with a Lou Pold, especially on a hard kicking rifle like the 300 Winchester Magnum. 0 -

Leupold scopes are better and you pay for it. 0 -
I always liked Leupold. Thats what I would go with. 0 -
Burris first, then Leupold. The Weaver is the lesser of the two scopes. 0
