I looked at a Rossi stainless .357 with a 16" barrel, felt really nice, bet it would be fun to shoot.

Look at one of the newer Winchester Model 1892's. they are smoother than silk thongs, and very accurate...they even were made with octagon 20 inch barrels too...if you can find one...or better yet...anyone who wants to part with one.

Had a blue Rossi in .357. Stripped it down to the last screw and spring, removed a lot of burrs and internal roughness, but when I put it back together it proved to be smooth, reliable and accurate. Wish I still had it.

I have a Rossi 357 blued. It is a great gun to shoot. Reliable, accurate and low recoil. It's been my daughters favorite long gun since she was 10.

I've shot the Uberti 1873 Special Sporting Rifle in .45 Colt and it is a blast to shoot and it can be had in .357 Mag as well. It has the heavier barrel too. http://www.uberti.com/firearms/1873_rifle_and_carbine.php
