Light primer strikes?
I just bought a new KELTEC SU16 and am getting light primer strikes. About every other shot, it will make a small dent in the primer- not enough to ignite. I am using Russian military .223 ammo. I have another SU16 and the Russian ammo works great.
Is there anything I can check or do or should it be sent back to KELTEC for a warranty repair?
Thanks, Don

It could be the ammo! I have experience with other weapons and when the bolt is not closed completely the pin will no penetrate the primers the cause is the return spring is not strong enough to lock the bolt. The other thing that could cause the problem is a dirty rifle or bolt.
