Jules LaBantchni Custom

Hi,

I have a custom heavy-barreled .243 by Jules LaBantchni. I believe the action is a Springfield 03, and the gun is in overall great shape.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a little about Mr. LaBantchni and his guns, and maybe give me an idea of what this gun might be worth.

I have no plans on selling the gun, so the information is for personal purposes only.

    Hey RW, I was Jules' stepson throughout the 60's... What would you like to know? Obviously I can give you the anecdotal info. Does your rifle have a lot of detail work? Some of Jules' custom weapons are quite elaborate. Representatives from the Smithsonian wanted one of his custom made shotguns, and he entertained the idea until he found out they wanted him to donate it, (he thought that was pretty funny)...WW
