Help, U.S. marked M-1 Carbine "holster"?
I have a new, never used M-1 carbine canvass carrying case for the 30 carbine. My M-1 carbine fits perfectly. Inside the top flap is stamped,"Protection products Co. 1943. Was this intended for the M1A1 paratrooper carbine? Reading an article about the M1A1 in the August, 2008 issue of American Rifleman has piqued my interest. What do I have? Value? Thanks guys, Eddie

It could be a rare experimental holster designed to carry the M1 or M2 carbine.
Or, it could be a recent knock-off. Photos might help identify it.

There are a bunch of reproductions for Garands and carbines around. If yours is new, it's most likley one of them. 0 -
Thanks guys, but what about the 1943 date & name of company, Protection Products? Ya think Bert might know? Ed 0
