kimber crimson trace ultra compact
purchased a new kimber ccp 3' couple of weeks ago, because I had to have one in my lifetime, but there is one problem that I hate.taking it down for maintenance is a pain.that stupid L shape tool to compress the spring, either you loose it or it breaks.then I just purchased that plastic dodad that suppose to replace that L tool, but it slips on the rod easily but removing it is one pain in da a** I just got filling out my registration with kimber and told them about that tool and let's see what they got to say. springfield, glocks, and other makes of 1911 is a piece of cake to take down.

I have three Kimbers that take down with the L shaped tool...I have no problem or issue with them at all..once you do it a few times, you will see how easy it is! 0 -
I am in agreement, after using a glock for years I also bought the Kimber Ultra Carry II and the gun is fantastic until it is time to clean it. It is a pain in the A**! Like everything else in life, everything is relative, if you had always had the similar 1911's, it may not be that different but after a glock, it is much more difficult.
Only complaint though, the gun is the best shooter I have ever owned!!!
Practice makes perfect, I guess.0
