What is the best 22 magnum thats not super expensive?

    Take a look at the Savage Model 93 offerings - I've had one for about 8 years - it is very accurate, with/without a scope. Even with the earlier factory trigger - new accu-trigger system is a vast improvement.

    Also consider the CZ 452 at under $500, and the Browning T-bolt at around $700.

    I would also take a look at the Marlin line. You can find them on the auction side for around 200.00 used. I have the 783 and it is very accurate...Bull

    +1 I've had a 93fv for a couple of years now, love it. Accurate, inexpensive. Only critcisim is for the stock, the comb isn't high enough to get a good cheek weld w/ a scope. Solved by buying a 93BTV (or BTVS if you want stainless) or the BTV stock made by Boyd's (just got one, MUCH less than the btv for the fv + oem stock).

    So there you have it...the best bang for the buck, and the best at any cost.

    Good Morning.
    I was scanning through the new posts and found yours. I am attempting to decide on a HMR 17. I have in mind Remington 504 or 547. How does the less expensive Ruger 77/17 compare to the Remington models. Hope you can make my decision a little easier. This will be my first HMR17.

    I have a 7722M Varmint, in 22 WMR, a CZ-453 in 17 HMR, and an Anschutz "Woodchucker"(entry level youth gun, on the model 64 action) in 22 WMR. I have had no experience with the Remington 504 or 547. I know the Ruger needed to be tweaked out of the box, but is now a tack driver, as is the CZ, and Anschutz.
