Pistol ID? and cal?
My friend has an old pistol that his dad took off of an enemy soldier in Europe back in WWII. He said that he did shoot it about 40 years ago, with ammo he bought from a dealer who was able to identify the caliber. However, my friend has since forgotten the caliber and has none of the old ammo left. He thinks that it may be an 8mm.
Can anyone help identify what the origin of this gun may be and most importantly, what caliber, so my friend can get some ammo and shoot it at the range, or out in the country? The pistol appears to be a semi-auto with a clip in the grip/handle. The lettering on the pistol is as follows: on the barrel CESKA ZBROJAVKA AKCSPOLVPRAZE and above the pistol grip EZ 39, and on the pistol grip is a Z inside of a backwards C. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

not enough info but i would belive it to be a caliber 6.35 = 25acp,7.65= 32acp, 9mmk = 380acp,, if a model 39 then it is 380 acp caliber 0 -
It's a Czech 32 automatic Model 1924 or 1927 depending on slide cocking grooves angle.

Horsepucky!, it's a CZ 38, as shown in these photos. It was the last pistol manufactured by the Czechs, prior to the nazi's taking control of their pistol factories. "EZ 39" would be their military proof date.
It's chambered for the .380 caliber pistol cartridge.
