How are the new generation Weaver scopes? Advantages and disadvantages Is the glass any good ? Where are they made ?

  When did Weaver make the transition of a steel tube to an aluminum tube for their scopes? There seem to be a lot of steel tubes still around.

  My one and only K4 came on a used Mini 14 25 years ago. Been on several guns since. Would not trade it for any other scope to be used.

  I think Weaver always put on the tube, made in the USA if it was made here. Agree they are first rate scopes, sure love mine!
