Ruger P95DC ( Expert Only Questions)
Years ago I went to a Gun Show in Davenport, Iowa. I was into buying a decent 9mm pistol. Not an expensive one, but one that felt good in hand. A dealer who had the above had a sale price, buy one at XXX or two for XXX. Nearly $100 discount on each as I remember. Perhaps a little less. I called wife and she said she would try one, and she did.
She didn't exactly like what I did, so she shot about 40 rounds and gave up. Prefers her .22 Hi-Standard better. Ok, jist of question. I told dealer to give me two of them. He did, and started the paperwork. As he got to the second pistol he noticed they were two consecutive serial numbers and stated to me he had not seen this before and finished the paperwork. The FFL owner was near and this guy told him about the serial numbers. The owner then told me he could not sell me the second one because they were not supposed to be shipped in consecutive numbers. However, I said I had already signed all the paperwork as did his employee and he backed off.
With a matched pair with her's having 40 rds. and mine with about 300 rds. fired, do I have anything of value here? Any guess as to valuation of the pair?
This one I cannot answer myself through lack of knowledge. I professionally carry a weapon with a professional permit. Al tho, my issued weapon is an XD.

The only added value you had was pretty much gone the first time a round was fired out of either one. You may find a Ruger collector who specializes in that model and might give you an extra 50 or so for the pair. They go for @ 250-300 on the auction sites. If you have the boxes and all paperwork you might get 600-635 for the pair. YMMV 0 -

Oh yeah, got all you mentioned. Never get rid of documentation.0 -
Stevan1...not much collector value in the pistol you mention, consecutive serial # or not. Perhaps if you kept them both NIB for years and years you might find a Ruger collector interested, but then you would not have the guns to use. I would love to shoot the Colt Comm's that I have, but one shot and the collector value goes up in smoke! So I just sit and look at them! One of my son in laws is a police officer and years ago I bought us both consecutive serial # Glock 36's...me to carry, him for his backup. Ordered them from Glock that way, so at least one company ships consecutive numbered guns and sells them to one customer. Good shooting! 0
