    I like mine.
    Accurate and reliable.

Sounds like you saw the K-16 model. You can do better than that price. I've seen them down in the $650 range recently. Been thinking about one myself, but can't seem to commit.

Generally considered to be in the second tier of ARs, I have a couple of Oly's and think that they are good solid rifles for the price.

They may be second tier but I bought a PCR99 kit someone else assembled with a 16" SS barrel and I love it except for the trigger which I replaced with an adjustable single stage and Hogue free floating handguard.
I've since assembled three additional uppers from various makers' parts
that fit up and shoot very well with the Olympic lower.
I have no issue with Olympic quality, fit or finish.

I agree with all of the above. Have a couple and have owned a few others in the past.

Does anyone have any opinions/experience with Olympic Arms? I saw a .223 AR15 today at a gunshow for $799. It had the free floated barrel, picatinny rail fore and aft and a solid polymer stock with bull barrel.

    Any info much appreciated. Don

The only reason oly's have a bad name is because they were using cast receivers when they first started. They go bang just like all the others.

I like both of mine. I think they are both more accurate than my SP1 Colt.
